runDisney Sign-up Form (Daily UI #001)

I liked having daily design challenges at General Assembly as it helped warm up my design muscles and get myself in the right mindset to start the day. I signed up for Daily UI challenges in hopes to replicate that morning routine. Hopefully I can stay committed to this!

Today’s challenge was to create a sign-up form. I was browsing the runDisney site to see when the next Disneyland run is (they haven’t had them for the past couple years due to construction and I was curious if they were back on again) and figured I could design a newsletter sign-up modal.

I had fun writing copy for the modal that captures the Disney feel. I also wanted to recreate the button interaction on the runDisney webpage.

Church of 8 Wheels Redesign

Overview

As part of a visual design class, I redesigned the Church of 8 Wheels landing page for a more streamlined experience, making it easier for people to find event information and buy tickets. The target audience is between the ages of 18-35 not familiar with the Church of 8 Wheels but looking for a fun, cheap activity for a night out. To enhance the uniqueness of the venue, I wanted to evoke a 1970s retro feel.
